Advanced lacquering and custom finishes

With more than 5,000,000 doors lacquered every year, LAPM combines high production capacity with extensive experience in the industrial lacquering and finishing of furniture components. In fact, it shows how we can combine high productivity, the result of an evolved industrial model, with quality, intended as a set of certainties that those who choose us can rely on.

Durability, resistance and colour stability are key characteristics of LAPM’s lacquered finishes, combined with a constant focus on aesthetics and surface quality. Our extensive range of colours and finishes can also be complemented by custom-developed solutions, designed to meet specific project requirements and individual customer needs. From standard finishes to bespoke colours and surface effects, LAPM works closely with customers to develop the right finishing solution for each application.

3D EXCIMER COATING

Ultra-matt, durable and soft-touch surfaces

3D excimer coating is an advanced lacquering technology that produces ultra-matt, highly durable and soft-touch surfaces with a distinctive tactile feel.

Excimer technology allows the finish to be applied to shaped components, complex geometries and three-dimensional surfaces, maintaining a uniform and consistent lacquered finish across the entire component.

3D excimer lacquering expands the application possibilities of advanced surface finishing. LAPM uses this technology not only for cabinet doors and furniture fronts, but also for worktops, wall panelling, interior doors and flooring. This makes it possible to coordinate different surfaces and furniture components, creating a consistent total-look approach across an entire interior design project.

The combination of an ultra-matt surface, soft-touch effect and high resistance makes 3D excimer technology an ideal solution for furniture and interior design projects where both aesthetic quality and technical performance are essential.

3D excimer lacquering is achieved through an advanced UV curing process, in which the lacquer is polymerised using specialised UV excimer lamps in an oxygen-free environment. This process produces a high-performance surface finish with:

Velvet touch effect

The modern refinement of extra opacity is combined with the extreme pleasantness of touch, a delicately velvety effect that embellishes surfaces.

Extreme hardness

The lacquered layer undergoes a UV drying process, which makes the lacquered surface very hard and therefore extremely resistant.

Fingerprint-proof

In addition to high opacity, excimer-lacquered surfaces are fingerprint-proof: fingertip contact leaves no trace.

Applicable to all kinds of shapes

We apply excimer lacquer, also pigmented, to all kinds of shapes, resulting in a uniform colour for all parts of surfaces.

Intense opacity

The polymerisation process used for UV coatings, made possible with our cutting-edge technologies, allows us to achieve an opacity level with less than 5 gloss units.

High resistance to scratches, abrasion and cold liquids

Excimer-lacquered surfaces achieve high performance in terms of resistance to scratches and abrasion. In addition, they stand out for their excellent resistance to cold liquids.

WATER-BASED COATING AND UV WATER-BASED COATING

Sustainability and water-based coating

LAPM operates a dedicated water-based coating line, using advanced finishing technologies to combine reduced environmental impact with high-performance results.

UV water-based coating technology

In addition to catalysed, cross-linked and one-component water-based coating systems, LAPM has implemented innovative UV water-based coating technology. This advanced process delivers chemical, physical and mechanical properties comparable to, and in some cases exceeding, those achieved with traditional polyurethane coatings.

POLYURETHANE COATING

Aesthetics, durability and colour stability

Polyurethane coating enables high-quality finishes for cabinet doors, worktops, wall panelling, interior doors, skirting boards and flooring. Advanced production systems and proven coating technologies are combined to create surfaces with outstanding aesthetic quality, durability and colour stability.

A matt finish gives surfaces a soft, velvety appearance while helping to minimise the visibility of fingerprints. A gloss finish, on the other hand, enhances the depth and brilliance of high-gloss lacquered surfaces, while providing excellent levels of durability and resistance.
